The Costs of a Wedding in Mallorca in Detail
Wedding Costs in Mallorca
One of the most frequently asked questions, but one that often only gets vague answers: Read here what a wedding in Mallorca really costs you!
The Costs of a Wedding in Mallorca
Would you like to get married in Mallorca and are still at the very beginning of your planning? Then one of your first questions will certainly be what such a wedding in Mallorca will cost. Of course, you already know that costs can vary greatly and depend on what exactly you need, when, where, and for how many guests. But even before you start the concrete wedding preparations, a rough estimate would surely be helpful. The often-quoted price ranges such as “catering costs between €70 and €280 per person” are simply not useful. After all, you cannot really judge what you get for €70 and why it could also cost four times as much. The same goes for the wedding photographer in Mallorca and many other aspects of your ceremony. The catering costs – food, drinks, and service – will in any case take up the largest portion of your wedding budget, roughly 50% of the total costs. To give you some truly tangible figures for your budget planning, I have calculated three examples for you.
A wedding abroad does not necessarily have to be more expensive than in Germany. A destination wedding in Mallorca can, depending on the choice of wedding location, be surprisingly good value (good value meaning “worth the price,” not cheap).
What Should I Budget for a Wedding Celebration in Mallorca?
Getting married in Mallorca can look very different. From a finca wedding to an exclusive wedding venue in Mallorca or a wedding by the sea – everything is possible. From a small and intimate wedding to a celebration with several hundred guests. The costs therefore depend on many factors, not least the level of quality you want. Here, I would like to show you three options that I very often experience and photograph. Please keep in mind that your budget may vary depending on the location and your priorities. And yes, it can always be done cheaper. However, my calculation is a good guideline for you and includes everything that a truly unforgettable wedding really needs – and all at a level that I can wholeheartedly recommend. Especially when it comes to catering, but also with all other service providers, significantly lower prices are suspicious. They usually come with stress (due to unprofessional organization) and lower quality – neither of which should be part of your wedding in Mallorca.
Please note that wedding planners in Mallorca often quote their prices net. This means: another 21% will be added! So take a close look at whether IVA (Spanish VAT) is already included. If you want to hire a wedding planner in Mallorca, you should expect a minimum fee starting at €3000. These are not included in my sample calculations, since with both event fincas and restaurants you simply don’t need a wedding planner. On the contrary, it often works more smoothly without a third party. More on this further below.
The perfect wedding location does not always have to be a luxury hotel. Mallorca offers a wide variety of stunning venues. Here you’ll find three typical options, showing how many couples celebrate their wedding in Mallorca – from classic Mediterranean style in the countryside to a rooftop terrace with sea view. All prices are gross and based on real-life figures (as of January 2025).

DownloadCosts at an Event or Wedding Venue in Mallorca
By wedding venue, we mean a dedicated event location that you rent specifically for your wedding. Similar to what is common in Germany. So, not a holiday finca. Such a wedding venue is not worthwhile for small weddings, but otherwise it can definitely be an attractive option. Often, as with the Finca Alaiar, the operators take care of many things for you that you would otherwise have to pay extra for with a wedding planner. These costs are therefore eliminated, leaving you with at least €2000 to €4000 more in your budget.
Let’s assume that you want to celebrate on a Saturday with 50 guests. Your wedding day begins with a symbolic ceremony, followed by a champagne reception with finger food, later a wedding dinner, and a DJ for the nighttime party. Perhaps even a singer and guitarist for the ceremony and reception. Decoration, furniture, and service are also included in this calculation, so there won’t be any unpleasant surprises. Variable costs might include transfers for your guests to and from the venue at night. Accommodation and travel expenses also need to be calculated separately, as they are too dependent on the season and the type of accommodation you prefer.
Event Finca, 50 Guests
€25.900
Overall- Location rental €5,000
- Chairs, Tables, Table Linens, Dishes, Cutlery €1,200
- Wedding Decoration (Table Decor, Ceremony Setup, Bridal Bouquet) €2,800
- Catering (Tapas for the Reception, Bbq Menu for the Dinner) €5,500
- Drinks (Champagne Reception, Dinner, Party) €3,000
- Service Staff €2,000
- Wedding Officiant €1,200
- DJ (Approx. 4–6 Hours) €1,500
- Photographer (6–8 hours) €2,500
- Live Music for the Ceremony and Reception €1,200
- Price Per Person €518
Costs of a Wedding with Sea View
Mallorca offers many venues, but not quite as many along the coast. Hotels often stand in the way. However, if you want to celebrate a wedding by the sea, there are some great restaurants depending on the size of your group. In this example, I calculated a wedding at the Träumeria Son Moll in Cala Ratjada.
On the beautiful rooftop terrace “Cloud 7,” you have a dreamy view and excellent food, service, and decoration provided directly by the venue. The schedule could look like this: Your guests arrive in the afternoon for a welcome drink, shortly after move to the rooftop terrace for a symbolic ceremony. Afterwards, there is a champagne reception with finger food in the garden, followed by a wedding dinner with 8-course flying tapas on the rooftop terrace and a wedding cake. If you want to continue the party afterwards, you would need to change locations, as music is only allowed on the terrace until around midnight. Assuming again 50 guests on a Saturday, the all-inclusive costs would be as follows:
Seaside Restaurant, 50 Guests
€16.450
Overall- Venue Rental Included
- Food (Finger Food for the Champagne Reception, Dinner Menu, Wedding Cake)
- Drinks (Wine, Champagne, Beer, Soft Drinks, Water, Coffee, Cocktail Selection)
- Service
- Ceremony Decoration, Table Decor, Bridal Bouquet, Groom’s Boutonniere, Menu Cards
- All Together (!) for a Total of €12,450
- Wedding Officiant €1,200
- Photographer (6 hours) €2,000
- Singer or Saxophonist for the Ceremony €800
- Price Per Person €329
Costs of a Finca Wedding in Mallorca
If you want to get married at one of the island’s beautiful fincas, the budget is very individual. Prices vary greatly, and the equipment and amenities on site can differ significantly. Additionally, more decoration is often needed for your wedding, although some fincas already provide part of it. To give you some insight for planning your finca wedding, here is a complete list. For a change, we’ll base this on a smaller group and plan your wedding with 30 guests. Considering the minimum rental duration of most fincas, everyone will need to take time off anyway for the rental to be worthwhile. This means we are only calculating your accommodation costs as the couple and the event fee. Your guests would, in most cases, pay for their own accommodation themselves. You can also get married during the week, which allows some vendors to offer smaller packages.
A typical finca, where probably almost every week a wedding takes place, is Ses Voltes (also found under different names in any wedding planner’s portfolio). It costs €1,600/day and must be booked for at least seven days (from November to April, it’s only €1,000/night). With 8 bedrooms, that would be €1,400 for you, including a week’s stay. In addition, you must pay an event fee of €600. This is relatively inexpensive and can be significantly higher at other fincas (up to €4,500 in the most expensive examples). Your caterer must, of course, bring everything (and take it away afterward), from chairs to napkins.
Holiday Finca, 30 Guests
€14.300
Overall- Venue Rental Including Accommodation €2,000
- Food €4,000
- Beverages €1,800
- Service €800
- Furniture and Decoration (Tables, Chairs, Wedding Arch, Dishes, Glasses, Cutlery, Etc.) €2,500
- Wedding Officiant €1,200
- Photographer (3 hours) €1,200
- Singer or Saxophonist for the Ceremony €800
- Price Per Person €476
Many brides in Mallorca also book a stylist for hair and makeup on the wedding day. On average, you can expect to budget around €800 for this.
Conclusion: Wedding Costs in Mallorca
Every wedding is different, of course. I hope, however, that I was able to give you a first impression of what you need for your wedding in Mallorca and what exactly is included in the price. The price per person at the caterer also naturally varies depending on how many children are present. I have not included them here (for simplicity). And of course, you can find each individual item at significantly higher (and lower) prices. However, the calculation already includes really good colleagues from all professions. If the costs of a wedding in Mallorca have not discouraged you, I wish you lots of fun searching for your dream location – and I am happy to answer any further questions about getting married in Mallorca!

Wedding Planners in Mallorca: Costs
A small digression from the main topic, but always relevant. A wedding planner is a service provider. And services have to be paid for-no question. The examples above are calculated without this additional service. Wedding planners in Mallorca typically charge around €4,500 for full planning. Sometimes there are daily rates of €800–€1,000 or hourly billing. In general, the industry estimates the cost of a wedding planner at about 20% of the total budget. Some officiants also offer additional planning services for an extra fee (and may also apply the following commission model). A wedding with a planner is definitely never cheaper than without-how could it be?
It is also not uncommon for planners to take a commission from the caterer, officiant, musician, DJ, or photographer. And that’s even though you are already paying the planner’s fee? That’s exactly the point. The caterer has to add the 10–20% commission the planner receives, otherwise it would be a loss for them. For catering, this can quickly amount to several thousand euros. In this way, you end up paying the planner’s fee twice or more. Naturally, this drives up the costs. It’s best to ask the planner, caterer, etc., directly how this is handled.
Usually, you won’t be told-and in my opinion, that’s not entirely fair. After all, you want recommendations from the best, not the highest-paying or most expensive. Paying more for the same service is also a bit frustrating. If you want to know who-just like me-neither pays nor takes commissions, just ask me. Recommendations from me are free and all the more valuable for it.
