Santa Lucia Binissalem as a Venue for Your Mallorca Wedding
Not only as a wedding photographer, but also in everyday life, I’m a big fan of central Mallorca-especially the typical Mallorcan villages like Alaró or Binissalem. Here you’ll find authentic island life and incredibly beautiful locations for your finca wedding in Mallorca. And without a doubt, Finca Santa Lucia is one of them. I’m always delighted by the ideal conditions for stunning wedding photos here-without ever needing to leave the property.
The garden of this finca is not only vast but also simply beautiful. As soon as you step behind the main house, you’ll be enchanted by the garden’s atmosphere. With palm trees, bougainvillea, and the huge pool, it’s also an ideal holiday spot. Thanks to the lovely chapel and the view of the Tramuntana Mountains at the end of the property, the estate practically begs to be used for your symbolic wedding ceremony in Mallorca. Even church ceremonies are possible.
The lawn is expansive enough to accommodate both a champagne reception and the dinner. There’s also a super cool patio next door. The only drawback at Santa Lucia: your wedding party must continue indoors after midnight. At that point, it can get quite cramped once you have more than a moderate number of guests (from around 25 guests, dance space becomes limited).
Amenities of Finca Santa Lucia
Have I mentioned the amazing garden yet? That’s an understatement-think more along the lines of a real park, with palm trees, cypresses, bougainvillea, oleander, hibiscus, and roses. But the interior is impressive too. Finca Santa Lucia offers 600 m² of living space for up to ten people. With five large bedrooms featuring multiple sun terraces, a kitchen, and two living rooms, you can enjoy privacy even during your wedding stay. Of course, everything is equipped with air conditioning and other modern luxuries.
However, as a historic luxury finca, I wouldn’t really classify it as such compared to some holiday portals. In terms of amenities, there’s nothing here that most other fincas on the island don’t already have-apart from the garden. And for that, the event fee you pay in addition to the rental is quite steep.
Other buildings on the property include an art studio, old stables and riding arenas, and, of course, the charming little chapel. Various terraces and covered areas make everyday life at the finca perfect. The estate spans just over four hectares, surrounded by almond plantations and the typical lemon, fig, and olive trees. And it’s right at the entrance to Binissalem, where you’ll find not only the island’s largest wine region but also many excellent restaurants.
